1o ways to support detoxification for glowing skin

To piggyback off of last week’s blog post discussing what the term detoxification even means in terms of acne and your healing journey..let’s cut right to it - here are 10 ways to support your body’s detox pathways! Aka please stay away from extreme detoxes or random juice cleanses😅 That actually might have the opposite effect than you are wanting on your skin!

  1. Regular exercise and movement.

  2. Stay hydrated.

  3. Avoid alcohol.

  4. Liver-supportive/micronutrient supplements dependent on your case.

  5. Add in antioxidant-rich foods like berries and dark leafy greens.

  6. Add in sulfur-containing foods like garlic and onion.

  7. Cook with turmeric and incorporate foods like dandelion greens and arugula.

  8. Avoid processed sugars and eat a whole, food nutrient-dense diet.

  9. Reduce environmental toxins and exposures in daily household products, skincare, fragrances, etc.

  10. Make sure you are having regular, daily bowel movements.

  11. Bonus tip - castor oil packs and/or lymphatic dry brushing!
